Seeing a grand piano on someone’s front lawn is pretty strange isn’t it?  This beautiful piece of furniture was filled with water at a house that was flooded by Hurricane Harvey. These pictures were taken by Greg Adams, Tyler Union Plant Sales, who lives in Montgomery, Texas, about 48 miles from the city of Houston that saw catastrophic flooding from the storm.

Greg and his family were very fortunate. Even after 25” of rain, they had no flooding, and without hesitation, knew immediately what they had to do - jump in and get involved helping their neighbors who weren’t so lucky.  Greg is pictured with daughters, Josie 13 and Jaden 12, at the home of one of the players on the flag football team he coaches.

Greg said, “I couldn’t have been more proud of my girls, they just grabbed hammers, started knocking out walls and loading drywall for hours.”  In the midst of this disaster, his youngest daughter Jaden, lightened the mood for a few minutes when she commented, “I feel like I’m on the television show, Flip or Flop”!

Greg has been working with Woodlands Church in their relief efforts from the deadly storm and has seen the devastation up close. The church is currently sheltering over 200 people displaced by the flooding and organizing cleanup & recovery teams. The relief efforts will be a struggle for months to come so any donations will be appreciated.
